Indirect Measurement
Problem/Purpose:
Students will indirectly radius the diameter of the circles contained
in our target sheet. This is analogous to measuring the radius of a single
atomic nucleus in the gold foil of Rutherford's experiment.
Classtime: 1 50-minute class period
Grade Level: 6-12
Photography and Composition
Problem/Purpose:
To understand the principles and techniques of photographic composition.
Classtime: 8 50-minute class periods
Grade Level: 6-12

Exploring With Photograms
Problem/Purpose:
To observe the interaction between energy absorbed, reflected or transmitted
through an object in a photochemical process.
Classtime: 2 50-minute class periods
Grade Level: 8-12

Through a Pinhole
Problem/Purpose:
To give students an opportunity to construct a pinhole camera in order
to experience an interdisciplinary activity by using their knowledge of
the physics of light. This activity will aid students in the discovery
of the production of images and will demonstrate an increase of understanding
in the processing of the photographic art form.
Classtime: 5 50-minute class periods
Grade Level: 3-12
